Campaigns and listing groups
The standard Shopping campaign remains the most controllable catalogue format. You still have to split what you want to arbitrate.
- Listing groups: the catalogue split by brand, product type, custom label or margin tier, across up to seven levels of subdivision
- Custom labels: five free dimensions, a thousand distinct values each, to carry in the feed what Google does not know about your business
- Campaign priority: three levels, the higher-priority campaign bidding even when another bids more, which lets you route one product by query
- Bidding strategies: maximise clicks or target a return on spend, as a portfolio or per campaign
- What the format does not do: a standard Shopping campaign does not serve on the Display Network, and the API returns an error if you try
