## Didomi, our reading

Didomi is a French consent and preference management platform, founded in Paris in 2017. It collects the user's choice through a **notice**, stores it, proves it, and passes it on to the tools that must respect it. Its unit of configuration is the **regulation**, a set of settings applied to territories and served from the IP address, which lets a single notice cover up to twenty-one regulations. The web SDK loads from the vendor's domain, and SDKs exist for iOS and tvOS, Android and Android TV, React Native, Flutter, Unity and Amazon's Vega platform.

**Two acquisitions in three months reshaped its scope in 2025**: Addingwell, server-side tagging, in April, alongside a 72 million euro round, then Sourcepoint, a US CMP, in July. Didomi is also a CMP registered with IAB Europe under identifier 7, and its support for version 2.3 of the transparency framework has been mandatory since 28 February 2026.

Updated September 2026

### Collecting consent, and having it respected everywhere

A CMP is judged on two things. The first is collection: the design of the notice, its performance, its compliance with the framework in force. The second is passing the signal on to the tools, and this is where Didomi holds its value: Google Consent Mode, Microsoft mode, Amazon signal, the transparency framework for advertising vendors, and since May 2026 control over the tags of a server container. Proofs are kept for five years, with the notice version that goes with them.

### What goes wrong, and cannot be seen

A failing consent setup never announces itself: it looks exactly like one that works. Three traps come back in every audit. Didomi manages its own vendor categories, which do not map one-to-one onto Consent Mode signals, so control runs through per-vendor blocking. The Consent Mode integration only covers GDPR, which calls for another arrangement outside that framework. And a country with no regulation selected shows no notice at all, its visitors becoming opt-in by default. None of the three produces a visible error.

### A CMP does not decide what your tags do

A CMP collects and broadcasts a signal; it does not decide what a tag does with it. That behaviour is set upstream, in the container: a tag is exempt, conditioned or degraded, and those are three decisions, not a sequence. Our work therefore starts before the notice, with an inventory of what you collect and for which purposes, and it continues in the container. A well-configured CMP on a container that ignores it protects no one.

Partnerships

## Our Gold status with Didomi

We are a Didomi Gold partner. The status gives us access to the vendor's resources and roadmap, so we see SDK and consent framework changes coming before they reach your environments.

Our second partnership on this subject covers server-side collection, with Addingwell. The two meet on a project: the consent platform decides what each destination is allowed to receive, and the collection server applies that decision downstream of the browser.

We work as an independent consultancy. Which platform you run is decided on your own context, and our work covers what you do with it.

## Frequently asked questions about Didomi

### Is a CMP enough to be GDPR compliant?

No. It collects consent, proves it and broadcasts the signal, which is necessary but not sufficient. Your tags still have to respect that signal, and that behaviour is set in your tag manager, not in the CMP. An inventory of what you collect and for which purposes remains the starting point.

### Which version of the TCF framework is in force?

v2.3. Published by IAB Europe in June 2025, it has been mandatory since 28 February 2026: any consent string created after that without the disclosed vendors segment is invalid. Didomi enabled it by default on newly created notices from November 2025, and apps require a minimum SDK version for full support.

### Does Didomi integrate with Google Consent Mode?

Yes, in basic and advanced mode. One limit is worth knowing: the integration only covers GDPR. Outside that framework, passing the signal on relies on duplicated tags conditioned on the regulation served. Control over Google tags themselves runs through per-vendor blocking, since Didomi's categories do not map one-to-one onto the signals.

### Is consent management mandatory in mobile apps?

Yes, and the subject is closely watched. Didomi provides iOS and tvOS, Android and Android TV, React Native, Flutter and Unity SDKs. Not to be confused with Apple's tracking permission: the two coexist, and the CMP's SDK does not request it, the app does. The sequence of both prompts needs work.

### Can several banner versions be tested?

Yes, the feature is documented, with one practical caveat: it has no interface. The experiment is declared in custom JSON in the advanced settings, and multivariate tests are not possible in the console. Differences are then read in a dedicated dashboard, which separates consent rate from opt-in rate.
